Celebrant Em

Call me Em, originally from the UK, I have been living and breathing the mountains and waters of Fiordland and Central Otago for almost 20 years.

I became a celebrant in 2022 after being deeply honoured to marry two of my best friends, from the moment they asked, through our planning meetings, ceremony writing, to standing barefoot on a beach hearing their 'pinky promises' in front of 100 people, I felt a true calling.

Since then I have had the privilege of marrying old and new friends, from larger weddings on cruise boats to riverside mountain elopements.

I consider myself a quiet extrovert, I love bringing people together to make memories, whether for a wedding or a random Tuesday afternoon, I'm known by friends and family as the party planner who leads invisibly from the back, ensuring everything is organised to the tiniest detail so everyone else can simply enjoy the adventure.

My outlook on life is that it's about having fun and making memories with people we love, in places we love.
