FAQ

Do you travel ? Do you take unusual requests ? What is the strangest request ?

Yes, I absolutely travel, pretty much anywhere in New Zealand, no probs at all. I love an adventure and will happily pack my celebrant kit and follow you wherever your love story leads. And unusual requests? Yes, please! That’s honestly why I adore my job. The stranger, the quirkier, the more unexpected ...... the better.

My favourite so far? A couple asked me to swim 6km across the Harbour and marry them on Rangitoto in a wetsuit. Did I do it? Hell yes! I’m an avid ocean swimmer and it was SO, SO, SO much fun!

What do you think you are best at ?

I’m not a comedian and I don’t believe a ceremony should be just about laughs .... though a bit of humour is always welcome! What I love most is a bit of everything: the tears that touch hearts, the laughter that lifts spirits and those moments of absolute focus and huge emotion when everyone feels the weight and beauty of the day. I thrive on creating ceremonies that are real, layered and unforgettable, a true reflection of love in all its forms not a comedy show.

Something I always ask the couple, what's your colour scheme ? what colours do you hate ?

Something I always ask every couple is: what’s your colour scheme? What colours do you hate? I do this because I care about the little details. I’d hate to think of photos years from now with me wearing a loud colour the bride and groom can’t stand! I love considering style, colours and even the small details to make the day feel really special. It’s my way of showing couples that I cared enough to get it just right for them.

How many languages do you speak ?

I am completely bilingual in Italian and English, with no accent in either, I can switch between the two effortlessly. I’m also not too bad at French and I can masticate a bit of Spanish. I work really well with interpreters and with couples or guests who have hearing difficulties and need a sign language interpreter. So whether it’s a bilingual ceremony, a few words in another language, or including interpreters to make everyone feel included, I’ve got you covered!
