Jade & Kai’s Snow-Covered Queenstown Wedding

When Jade & Kai said “I do,” they did it their way – surrounded by snow, family, and a whole lot of adventure.

Snowboarding has always been a big part of Jade & Kai’s lives, so when it came time to plan their wedding, they knew exactly where it had to be – high in the mountains, with fresh snow beneath their feet and their closest family along for the ride.

After a dry start to winter, everyone was holding their breath for snow. Then, two days before the big day, Queenstown was blanketed in a perfect dump of powder, and the stage was set for the ultimate alpine celebration.

The Day

The adventure began with a helicopter from Heliworks whisking the couple and their family up to Cecil Peak, where they exchanged vows surrounded by breathtaking views. Their ceremony, led by Emily O’Leary Celebrant, was intimate, emotional, and full of laughter – complete with a spontaneous snowball fight that set the tone for the day.

Next stop: Coromandel Peak, for those jaw-dropping hero shots captured by Kellie Francis Photography and Blake Allan Media – the kind of images that belong on every adventure-lover’s vision board.

The third and final landing was on Mount Crichton, just in time for sunset – a magical ending to their mountain adventure.

As dusk settled, Jade & Kai made one last stop – a quick beach shoot in the dark with their VW van before heading off to their evening celebration.
