Monty and Phibae’s wedding at Kumeu Valley Estate was relaxed, stylish, and full of personality.
Set amongst the vineyards in Waimauku, they created a day that felt effortless from beginning to end. Surrounded by family and friends, the focus was simply on celebrating, with plenty of laughs, great food, and beautiful moments along the way.
There were so many thoughtful details that made this wedding feel uniquely them. Our favourites? The bridesmaids wore beautifully mismatched pastel silk dresses, while the groomsmen – and groomsmaid – ditched traditional flower petals in favour of handing out beers from a wheelbarrow as they walked down the aisle. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the celebration. Phibae also absolutely rocked a statement veil adorned with delicate pearls and floral appliqué, adding a modern twist to her timeless bridal look.
Captured by David James Studio, the gallery perfectly reflects the energy of the day – natural, joyful, and completely authentic. Judging by the couple’s own words, the experience was just as memorable as the photographs, describing them as moments they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives and praising David not only for his incredible work, but for the fun, energy, and calm presence he brought to the day.
A special mention also goes to the team at Kumeu Valley Estate, whose warm hospitality helped make the celebration feel seamless from start to finish.
If you’re planning a vineyard wedding in Auckland, this one is full of inspiration.
