Alicia and Stee’s Christchurch wedding was the kind of day that reminds you what weddings are really about – love, connection and celebrating with the people who matter most.
Their ceremony at Rose Historic Chapel was deeply heartfelt, with family and friends sharing every emotional moment. Happy tears, big smiles and so much love filled the chapel.
The day also reflected the couple’s unique backgrounds, bringing together cultures and traditions that are important to them.
“I was born and raised in New Zealand and Stee was born and raised in Fiji,” Alicia shares. “We didn’t really have any problems blending cultures. I’m half Māori so I understand a lot of the cultural elements. It was a bit overwhelming the first time I went to the village in Fiji, but I just thought about my own family gatherings growing up and took it all in my stride.”
Stee is a devoted Catholic, something Alicia says has been a new part of their journey together. “I’m still learning about it – but I’m getting there.”
With blue skies and warm sunshine, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Alicia and Stee’s thoughtful planning meant everything flowed effortlessly, allowing them to simply relax and soak up the celebration.
The festivities continued at The Welder, where guests gathered for incredible food, laughter-filled speeches and a night full of love.
A beautifully relaxed Christchurch wedding with all the right ingredients – meaningful moments, great vendors and a whole lot of happy tears.
