Martine & Josh – Surfed Souls & Valley Views
Martine and Josh’s day was the perfect blend of surf soul and country charm – set in the dreamy Waingarara Valley, surrounded by rolling hills, wild deer, and one seriously loved-up crew.
Martine, a true ocean girl at heart, brought her coastal energy to the valley in the most beautiful way. From a custom wave-shaped arch to dreamy blue and cream florals by Meadow Club, every detail felt like a love letter to the sea. Even her jewellery and accessories gave off beachy mermaid-core energy.
The ceremony took place at Waingarara, an incredible venue tucked away in Wainui. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and the views stretch on forever. Celebrant Georgia Hedley kept things heartfelt and personal, setting the tone for a joy-filled celebration to follow.
Post-ceremony, the bridal party went off-roading up the family farm for photos with Andrea Stephens Photography. Think: golden grass, sweeping valley backdrops, and even a few wild deer roaring in the distance. Magic.
Martine wore a custom Harriet Falvey gown with details from Gown & Altar—timeless with a modern twist—and the bridesmaids looked effortless in soft-toned BLAK dresses. Josh and the lads kept things sharp in classic Barkers suits, and the whole crew looked straight out of a modern-day romance novel.
With epic tunes from Decibel Band, a lush set-up from Flock Events, and cake perfection by Sage and Grace, the reception rolled on into the night with good food, great company, and some seriously fun dancefloor energy.
A wedding that perfectly reflected the couple at the heart of it—laid-back, adventurous, and full of love.
