The couples that book me are always down to earth, normal people. Years ago I stopped showing idealistic photos on my website. To no surprise, people who want that stopped booking me.
Things I focus on:

✅ capturing the kind of formal photos that really matter, like family photos
✅ making the day run smoothly in ways you’ll never even see
Things I avoid:
❌ long bridal party shoots that kill the flow of the day
❌ making the day all about the photos
❌ awkward posing
❌ ticking boxes that you don’t care about
These days, the folks I hear from are looking for a photographer who focuses on people and lets the day play out naturally.
