Mount Maude Retreat

Mount Maude Retreat is a private destination to gather, celebrate and stay, tucked amongst 3.5 hectares of kānuka between Wānaka and Lake Hāwea.

Created for couples who want something a little less traditional, Mount Maude is about turning your wedding into an experience - not simply arriving for a ceremony and leaving again a few hours later.

Stay together, settle in, pour a glass of wine on the deck, celebrate beneath the mountains and wake up the next morning with your favourite people still around you.

The retreat offers beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that can evolve with your plans, from intimate ceremonies amongst the kānuka and long-table dinners overlooking the landscape, to larger celebrations on the lawn with a marquee or tipi.

The lodge itself creates a warm, relaxed base for the wedding party and family, with generous shared spaces, accommodation onsite and the freedom to make the property feel like your own for the duration of your stay!
